Piles of laundry
Dirty dishes
Children playing cops and robbers in the neighborhood
Supper to make
Weeds in the tomatoes
Three children on the swingset
Reading "Mr. Brown can Moo, Can You?"
An uninspired Latin scholar
Gardenias blooming in the entry
And the answer is.... "Norm Bonaparte?" "Noooooo! Napoleon! Napoleon Bonaparte!"
Baby spinning round and round yelling, "I-ya! I-ya! I-ya!" and then crashing, giggling into the cedar chest
Forts made of sheets and folding chairs
A bouquet of hydrangeas on the table

"We have the idea that God is going to do some exceptional thing, that He is preparing and fitting us for some extraordinary thing by and bye, but as we go on in grace we find that God is glorifying Himself here and now, in the present minute. If we have God's say-so behind us, the most amazing strength comes, and we learn to sing in the ordinary days and ways!"
Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest, June 4

A beautiful picture of a lovely day, made in a few short phrases. :-)
